ELAINE PUTS PARTY FIRST
Even when it comes to standing up to anti-Semitic hate, Congresswoman Elaine Luria won’t do what’s right – unless Nancy Pelosi tells her to.
Responding to Congresswoman Tlaib’s latest anti-Semitic outburst, House Republicans launched an initiative to force a vote on bipartisan legislation in support of Israel. But Elaine Luria told Jewish Insider that she will not support the discharge petition, saying:
“I’m not sure if I’ll use this [the petition] as the mechanism to put that out there.”
Why, you might ask?
Because “House Democratic leadership strongly discourages caucus members from supporting Republican-led legislative efforts.”
Supporting the initiative should be an easy “yes” for Luria, but apparently standing with the hateful bigots in her party is more important than doing the right thing.
