CLF Raises Over $13 Million Sets Off-Year Fundraising Record

Six-month fundraising haul is 20 times greater than previous off-year

WASHINGTON – The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, announced it raised over $13 million during the past six months – including $1 million in the last three weeks – a record for the organization during an off-year. After playing an aggressive and pivotal role in Republican victories during the 2017 special elections, CLF will report $3.5 million cash-on-hand to the Federal Election Commission.

For comparison, CLF’s staggering haul is more than 20 times greater than the previous off-year during the same period. From January to June 2015 – the previous off-year – CLF raised $640,249 and in 2013 raised $599,943 during the same period.

“By investing early, donors across the country are rejecting Nancy Pelosi and sending a clear message of support for Speaker Paul Ryan and his positive agenda,” said Corry Bliss, CLF Executive Director. “The challenge ahead is massive, we are working to defy history, that’s why CLF’s role and approach to winning House races is drastically different than previous cycles. We are starting earlier, going beyond the airwaves with a data-driven national field program and stronger fundraising to ensure we have the appropriate resources to protect Republican incumbents and keep Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House in 2018.”

CLF has committed to spend $100 million and expand its field operation to 30 field offices to protect the House Republican majority in the 2018 midterms.
