FL-18 First Wave of Spending 2016
Initial Round of TV and Digital Advertising Announced
WASHINGTON – The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today announced its first wave of general election spending. CLF will begin by allocating $1.32 million in Florida’s 18th congressional district race against the Democratic candidate. The independent expenditure will include TV advertising in the West Palm Beach media market and digital advertising starting October 18.
“We’re proud to support Republicans running on providing conservative, solutions-based leadership in the House. From the airwaves to the ground game, Democrats will have no place to hide from their support of the failed Obama-Clinton agenda,” said Ruth Guerra, spokeswoman for Congressional Leadership Fund. “Voters need to look no further than the Iran deal ransom and Hillary’s email scandal to know they don’t want more dishonest Democrats in Congress.”
This is part of a first round of announced spending totaling $10 million in 12 of the top competitive House races across the country. CLF and AAN remain the single largest outside conservative spenders on the U.S. House.
Founded in 2011, Congressional Leadership Fund is the super PAC endorsed by House Republican Leadership and dedicated exclusively to preserving and expanding the Republican Majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. CLF, along with its sister organization, 501(c)(4) American Action Network, spent $20 million in independent expenditures on U.S. House races in 2014. CLF is an independent-expenditure super PAC that operates independently of any federal candidate or officeholder.
