Rebecca Cooke Is Out of Touch With WI-03

Rebecca Cooke, who has spent her career fundraising and consulting for Democrat politicians, squeaked through Democrats’ messy primary in WI-03, and while she’s tried to portray herself as a working-class Wisconsinite, her record tells a much different story:

• Cooke says she has no “career background in politics,” but instead of a life of public service, she’s raised millions for numerous congressional races – including $3.7 million for California Democrats – and earned nearly $200,000 as a political consultant.
• She served on the steering committee of a liberal group that hired staff to pull “stunts” for media attention and fought to elect a defund-the-police Democrat who shockingly called reducing the prison population “sexy.”
• Cooke founded a nonprofit supposedly aimed at helping small business owners, but recordsshow that from 2020-2022, Cooke enriched herself. She took more money for her own salary than she gave out to small businesses, and she was even funneling grant money to the restaurant she worked at.

“Rebecca Cooke is a self-serving, DC insider, who is completely out of touch with Wisconsin values,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Voters will reject Cooke this November.”
