House Democrats Abandon Israel & Cower to Party Activists
In a remarkable slap in the face to our one democratic ally and to the American hostages held by Hamas, over 80 Congressional Democrats are boycotting today’s address by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
And in one of her first acts as likely Democrat presidential nominee, VP Kamala Harris is also skipping the address to speak to a sorority.
The activist left and now the elected heart of the Democratic Party have such a blind hatred of Israel that they’ll actually boycott the Israeli leader’s address while American and Israeli hostages are still being held by Hamas.
Capitol Police is being forced to beef up security and shut down areas for tourists as “thousands of people are expected to descend on the Hill to protest,” much like the protests we already saw yesterday.
Democrats’ actions today represent a disturbing decision to appease radical activists rather than respect the leader of our democratic ally and stand with a nation at war against terrorists.
“The contrast in Congress could not be clearer: House Republicans are firmly standing with our ally, Israel and its people, who are under attack from terrorists, while House Democrats are abandoning them,” said CLF Communications Director Courtney Parella. “Boycotting today’s address is a slap in the face to our democratic ally, basic morality, and the hostages still being held by Hamas.”
