Is Peltola Skipping Work to Avoid the Biden Question?

First: Mary Peltola went on national television and carried the President’s water, saying “Biden’s mental acuity is very, very on. He’s one of the smartest, sharpest people I’ve met in D.C.”

Then: After Biden’s disastrous debate performance, she refused to acknowledge what 80% of voters think – that Biden is too old to run in 2024 – saying this weekend that there aren’t “any benefits to Alaskans weighing in on this issue,” and her opinion is irrelevant.”

Now: House Democrats are back in Washington for this week’s votes, but Peltola coincidentally is staying in Alaska.

Could it be that she’s trying to avoid having to answer what every House Democrat is being asked this week – do you still back Biden’s campaign?

“Mary Peltola had no problem going on national TV to share her opinions on President Biden before, but now she’s refusing to shoot Alaskans straight,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Peltola is proving she’s putting Biden and party before Alaska, and Alaskans deserve better.”
