Whitmer’s Prediction: Michigan “No Longer Winnable for Biden”

After the President’s disastrous and concerning debate performance, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer hopped on a call with a senior Biden campaign official to relay that Michigan is “no longer winnable for Biden,” according to a POLITICO report.

Whitmer’s prediction spells serious trouble for Curtis Hertel in MI-07, which prognosticators rate a Toss Up.

Up to this point, Hertel hasn’t been afraid to tie himself to Biden – recently saying he’d be “happy” to campaign with Biden, and that it’d be “important” for him to do so.

The now existential question for the Hertel campaign is if he is still inviting Joe Biden, who 72% of voters say does not have the mental and cognitive health to serve as President, to campaign with him?
