Fact Check: Gluesenkamp Perez’s New Ad = False

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s new campaign ad claims she’s been taking on Joe Biden on immigration and promises to “do whatever it takes to secure the border.”

But here are the facts:

Gluesenkamp Perez refused to acknowledge there was a crisis at our southern border, insisting “nobody stays awake at night worrying about the southern border… that’s not what matters to people.”

She voted against securing the border when she had the chance, and she’s repeatedly backed Biden and her party’s toxic open-border policies.

“Out-of-touch Marie Gluesenkamp Perez downplayed and ignored the border crisis, and now she’s desperately trying to cover her tracks,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “But the facts speak for themselves, Gluesenkamp Perez has failed to secure the border, and voters know it.”
