SHOT/CHASER: Gluesenkamp Perez’s Words Are Coming Back to Bite

SHOT: A pastor in Washington state whose church is sheltering hundreds of migrants says her church is so overwhelmed that she “lies awake at night, worrying about a fire.”

CHASER: Not long ago, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez insisted that “nobody stays awake at night worrying about the southern border… that’s not what matters to people.”

But not only did she dismiss the illegal immigration crisis altogether, Gluesenkamp Perez failed to secure the border when she had the chance.

“Gluesenkamp Perez thought she could make the border crisis go away by pretending it doesn’t exist, but Washington communities are hurting and know she is to blame.” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole.
