Taxing Tony Vargas’ Favorite Day of the Year

It’s Tax Day! And while it’s typically not a day most of us look forward to, we’re here to remind you that if Taxing Tony Vargas had his way, Nebraskans would be taking an even bigger hit on their taxes.

Remember: Tony Vargas is gunning to raise income taxes on anybody making more than $100,000 per year, and he backed a plan to make Nebraska’s state income tax rate the fifth-highest in the country.

“Tony Vargas is as out of touch as they come,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “If he had it his way, ‘Taxing Tony’ would hike taxes on middle-class Nebraskans.”
