Will Rollins return the $40K from shadow progressive groups?

A damning report from the Washington Examiner revealed that failed Democrat candidates were getting paid to run for Congress a second time by secret progressive groups.

A liberal organization is running an operation to “ensure repeat Democratic congressional hopefuls get paychecks between runs” and ran a similar scheme in 2019, which “drew legal scrutiny from campaign experts for cutting large checks to failed candidates.” 

And which failed Democrat candidate is on the payroll of these secret progressive groups? 

None other than Will Rollins. 

In a September 2023 filing, Rollins received $10,789 and $28,527 from the groups as salaries.

However, Rollins, who has made  repeated calls for transparency in politics, refused to answer for these payments.

And if that wasn’t enough, he even hurried to change his financial disclosures when he heard the report was coming out.

“Will Rollins’ hypocrisy is a slap in the face to California voters. Arguing for transparency while taking checks from secret progressive organizations is about as shameless as it gets,” said CLF Communications Director Courtney Parella. “Instead of trying to cover it up, he should return the money and pray California voters won’t remember his entire candidacy is based on a lie.”
