No one is buying what Democrats are selling
As Democrats spend August attempting to sell “Bidenomics” to voters back home, recent headlines aren’t helping their pitch to voters.
- Gas prices have hit a 10-month high this week, reaching a national average of almost $4 a gallon.
- Grocery prices are still on the rise from July of 2022 to 2023, including items like white bread (up 10.7%), frozen vegetables (up 17.1%), and rice (up 6.1%).
- The Wall Street Journal reports the “U.S. has seen a record increase in homeless people this year,” up roughly 11% – the biggest driver high housing costs.
- Child-care prices are rising at nearly twice the overall inflation rate, with national average price of rising 6% in July.
- More Americans (up 36% from 2022) tapped into their 401(k) accounts because of financial distress, according to Bank of America.
On top of all that, 51% of Americans still think the economy is getting worse and only a mere 37% approve of President Biden’s handling of the economy.
“No matter what Democrats say, American families are still being forced to cough up more and more for everyday essentials, and voters know President Biden and the radical left’s costly, toxic agenda are to blame,” says CLF Communications Director Courtney Parella.
