CLF Statement on David Valadao’s Victory

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund, the super PAC endorsed by Kevin McCarthy and all of House Republican Leadership, released the following statement on the election results in California’s 22nd Congressional District. 

“Congratulations to David Valadao on his well-deserved re-election,” said CLF President Dan Conston. “Democrats tried every dirty trick in the book to beat him and yet David continues to come out on top. David is a bipartisan leader who fights for his community, and we’re proud of our work to ensure he would be returning to Congress.”

Congressional Leadership Fund spent $900,000 to support David Valadao in his primary, even as House Majority PAC poured over a quarter million to meddle and promote a poison pill extremist over Valadao. Then in the general election, CLF spent more than $6.6 million to support Valadao’s victory, including TV and digital advertising, persuasion mail and field programs.
