Scholten’s Against Law Enforcement

Hillary Scholten has been giving money to defund the police groups and scrubbing dangerous policies she supports from her website.

According to the Daily Caller, Scholten has given “hundreds of dollars to the Progressive Women’s Alliance of West Michigan” which called “for the Grand Rapids Police Department’s budget to be reduced by approximately $9 million” and has made “thirteen separate contributions to Equity PAC, which also supports defunding the department,” while taking “thousands of dollars from groups that support defunding the police.”

Scholten also recently scrubbed her campaign site, removing the entire criminal justice reform section that showed her supporting dangerous bail reform laws.

“Hillary Scholten is in the pocket of extreme anti-police groups that are making Michigan communities less safe by the day,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “Scholten can try to hide her record of supporting a dangerous agenda, but voters won’t forget that Scholten continues to enable criminals at every turn.”
