Child hunger soaring under Bidenflation
Child hunger is soaring as food prices make it tougher and tougher for families to put food on the table for their children. A new story in USA Today shows the devastating toll rising prices are having on America’s children:
- “Kids eat a lot. $200 ain’t gonna buy you nothing. You get some groceries, but it’s not gonna last you. It’s ugly.” – New Mexico grandparent of nine.
- “I can’t remember a time in my life when I was facing a crisis like this on all fronts.” — Jillien Meier, director of campaign strategy at No Kid Hungry.
- “The food cost has almost paralyzed us, combined with fuel costs. After August, I have no idea what we’re going to do.” — Kenzie Hinson, 18, owner and operator of food pantry.
- “Simply put, more of these kids are in danger this summer.” — Vince Hall, chief government relations officer at Feeding America
“It’s devastating and unconscionable that Democrats have so poorly managed the economy that children now do not know where their next meal will come from,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “With soaring food prices, baby formula out of stock everywhere and gas going through the roof, Democrats’ reign of Washington has been an unmitigated disaster for families.”
