Democrats now own this
As of yesterday, 800,000 noncitizens are now eligible to vote in our elections, after NYC allowed the legislation to become law.
Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, the favorite to become House Democrats’ new leader after Pelosi steps aside, backed the plan saying it would get his “full support,” even though folks like CNN’s Jake Tapper note that it would “make a mockery of the idea of American citizenship.”
In leadership, Jeffries’ job is to speak for the Democratic conference, so every House Democrat now owns this.
“The Democrat Party has become so extreme that giving foreign nationals the right to vote in our elections is no longer a fringe idea, but instead has become the party’s mainstay,” said CLF Communications Director Calvin Moore. “This is just further proof that there’s no such thing as a moderate House Democrat anymore.”
