Inflation just hit a four decade high

Democrats proclaimed they saved Christmas yesterday, but Americans are waking up today to find a giant lump of coal.

That’s because according to new numbers this morning, inflation is running higher than at any point in the last 4 decades, meaning prices for everything from tinsel and lights to ham and eggnog will cost more than ever before.

Worse, CNN notes inflation continues to wipe out workers’ pay raises and shows “no signs of slowing down anytime soon.”

“Americans are working harder and harder only to find less and less in their paychecks,” said CLF Communications Director Calvin Moore. “But instead of lending a helping hand to families being robbed by inflation, Democrats only dismiss these real concerns as ‘overhyped’ while pushing more of the government spending that’s driving inflation to begin with.”
