“Now I can barely buy a week’s worth” of groceries

Democrats’ reckless spending has set inflation ablaze, and now the very Americans Democrats claim to help can’t even afford to go to the grocery store.

Look at these dire quotes in today’s New York Times:

• “You have to pick and choose. Before, you didn’t have to do that. You could just go in and buy a week or two’s worth of food. Now I can barely buy a week’s worth.” – Disabled senior

• “Food is expensive, and when the food stamps are gone, they’re gone. I have to wait.” – Grocery store employee, Manhattan

• “To have food prices continue to escalate creates a great deal of pressure for families who have to feed their kids.”– Food bank director

• “I haven’t seen anything this bad cost-wise since the financial crisis in 2008. It seems like no matter how much I fill the cart with, the costs go up, and what I’m getting out of it is not what it used to be.” – Mine worker, Aurora Colorado

“Democrat’s out of control spending has caused the price of everything from gas to groceries to skyrocket, leaving Americans’ budgets paper thin,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “But Democrats won’t let that stop them from printing another $5 trillion to further inflate away the value of working Americans’ hard-earned paychecks.”
