Malinowski doubles down on disinformation

Uh oh. Over the weekend, Congressman Tom Malinowski got busted for spreading unproven conspiracy theories and dangerous information over the bogus Russian bounty story.

Now, he’s doubling down on the lies, tweeting “No apologies from me” for his disinformation campaign.

Malinowski has spared no breath calling for a pledge of “allegiance to the truth.” So why does Tom Malinowski think he gets to play by a different set of rules?

“Apparently, Malinowski’s promise to stand against misinformation doesn’t apply to conspiracy theories and debunked disinformation he spread for his own political advantage,” said CLF Communications Director Calvin Moore. “If Tom Malinowski had any shred of integrity, he’d apologize, delete his posts and make clear he was in error. But we won’t hold our breath.”
