Congressional Leadership Fund To Spend $700,000 Against Democrat Matt Heinz

Independent Expenditure Includes TV and Digital Advertising

WASHINGTON – Today, the Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPac), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, announced plans to spend $700,000 in Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District race between Congresswoman Martha McSally and Democrat Matt Heinz. The independent expenditure will include TV and digital advertising in the Tucson media market beginning next week.

“We’re proud to support strong Republican leaders like Martha McSally, who delivers results to her community and stands as a strong conservative voice in Congress,” said CLF spokeswoman Ruth Guerra. “Matt Heinz has made no attempts to hide his embrace of Obamacare, which has been disastrous for one too many Arizonians. Voters have a clear choice this election between Martha McSally’s results-oriented leadership or Matt Heinz’ rubberstamp of the failed Nancy Pelosi agenda.”

CLF’s total announced general election spending to date is over $33 million in 29 districts nationwide. In 2014, CLF and its sister organization, American Action Network, spent a combined $1.8 million in the AZ-02 race, supporting Martha McSally’s victory over Ron Barber.
