CLF Launches First TV Ad “Grossly” Against Randy Perkins

TV and Digital Ads Kick Off $2.1 Million Independent Expenditure in FL-18

WASHINGTON – The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released its first TV ad, “Grossly”, against the Democrat candidate Randy Perkins in Florida’s 18th Congressional District race. The ad reveals how Randy Perkins made his fortune off the misfortune of others, highlighting how his company “grossly overcharged” a local school district and later paid back hundreds of thousands of dollars.

“Randy Perkins is a shady businessman who for 24 years made millions off of victims of natural disasters. Perkins’ company was previously found to have ‘grossly overcharged’ a local school district, proving Perkins will do anything to boost his bottom line. Randy Perkins only looks out for himself and that’s a record Florida families can’t afford,” said Ruth Guerra, CLF spokeswoman.

The ad will begin airing Tuesday, October 4, in the West Palm Beach media market and online as part of CLF’s $2.1 million independent expenditure campaign in FL-18. In addition to this ad, CLF has previously highlighted Perkins’ dismal character and temperament to ensure voters across FL-18 meet the real Randy Perkins.

Hurricane Katrina. Families devastated.

Some lost it all, but Randy Perkins’ company made a fortune.

Accusations of overcharging led to a congressional hearing, where Perkins refused to divulge his company’s profit margin, and said the controversy didn’t hurt his bottom line.

Perkins’ company was even accused of “grossly” overcharging a local school district and eventually paid back two-hundred thousand.

Randy Perkins.

Looking out for his bottom line, not ours.
