CLF Congratulates Don Bacon in Nebraska’s 2nd District Election

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC) President Mike Shields issued the following statement in response to tonight’s election results in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District. CLF spent $1.4 million in independent expenditure in NE-02 on TV advertising, digital advertising and GOTV efforts.

“Congratulations to Don Bacon on his election victory. For 29 years, retired Brigadier General Don Bacon fought to keep Americans safe at home and abroad and now he will continue that work in Congress. Don is a steady leader with a devotion to service. Families in the 2nd district can be confident he will fight against unaffordable health care, a sluggish economy, and terrorism. After the past two years of liberal representation, we are thrilled that Nebraskans rallied behind a leader who will fight for center-right solutions that will keep Washington in check and get our country back on track.”

In 2016, Congressional Leadership Fund and its sister-organization American Action Network spent a combined $48 Million on independent expenditures in U.S. House races.

Founded in 2011, Congressional Leadership Fund is the super PAC endorsed by House Republican Leadership and dedicated exclusively to preserving and expanding the Republican Majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. CLF is an independent-expenditure super PAC that operates independently of any federal candidate or officeholder.
