WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today announced a record-breaking $15 million raised and more than $25 million cash on hand in the first quarter of 2018. In 2017, CLF raised 52 times previous off-year fundraising, raising $26 million.
“Knowing this will be a challenging midterm environment, aggressive and early fundraising has put CLF in a strong position to defend the Republican majority,” said CLF Executive Director Corry Bliss. “Donors are investing heavily in CLF’s field program, which will continue to expand nationwide. With 31 field offices and 8 million voter contacts over the past year, CLF is committed to playing a major role ensuring Republicans maintain control of the House.”
In the first quarter of 2016, the previous election year, CLF raised $1.3 million and had $1.9 million cash on hand. Additionally, CLF recently expanded its national field program to 31 offices and has made 8 million voter contacts in the past year.
