Brindisi says one thing, does another

As Democratic candidates across the country fruitlessly try to distance themselves from Nancy Pelosi and her agenda, one of the latest attempts is absolutely laughable.

In NY-22, Democrat Anthony Brindisi told syracuse.com “that he would not be among Democrats supporting Pelosi for another term leading House Democrats.”

But, here’s the kicker, no one has given more money to Brindisi than Pelosi…

From The Washington Free Beacon:

“Brindisi’s decision not to support Pelosi is significant because he has already taken $14,000 from her political action committee, PAC to the Future, and personal campaign, according to the Federal Election Commission website.

“In addition to support from Pelosi, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee picked Brindisi to be one of the candidates in the their highly competitive “Red to Blue” program, which is aimed at unseating Republican lawmakers in districts across the country. The House Majority PAC, a PAC with close ties to Pelosi, has also spent more than $200,000 to support his campaign and hit Tenney, according to the Post-Standard.”

If Brindisi was actually serious about rejecting Nancy Pelosi and her liberal agenda (which we highly doubt), he should go ahead and return those campaign contributions, stat.
